Dandara Junior Order of Merit Round 2

The second round of the Dandara Junior Order of Merit for this year was held at Peel Golf Club in beautiful sunshine with a little bit of rolling mist thrown in early on into the competition.

In the Under 18’s, 18-hole competition it was again Douglas’s Tommy Fenlon who took 1st place with a round of 74 Gross/71 Nett from Peel player Lea Dawson who shot 80 Gross/76 Nett.

It was certainly a family affair in the Under 14’s Competition with brother and sister taking the top 2 places.  It was Mount Murrays Jenna Crawford with a score of 109 Gross/73 Nett who took the 1st place from brother Sam Crawford who’s round of 88Gross/ 74 Nett rounded of the prizes.

The 9 Hole Competition was a close fought contest with only 1 point separating 1st and 2nd.  Mount Murray’s Kase Phinney with 12 points just pipped Owen Dooley from Douglas with 11 points.

Whilst in the 6 Hole Competition a score of 15 points from Benjamin Ramsey from King Edward Bay took 1st place. And after a countback between 4 players who all had 13 points, Nathaniel Denton from Mount Murray came out on top for 2nd.

The flag competition was a close-run race with Rowany player Theo Kiernan nearly completing 8 holes to take 1st place from Peel’s Jacob Turner.
