After a few of weeks of unsettled weather, it was a relief to play the Annual Kay Fox Ladies Greensome in blustery but fine conditions at Rowany Golf Club on Friday.
The Kay Fox Trophy was first played for in 1964, and although the Islands Lady Golfers were well- represented, few knew much about the history of this long- running competition, so if you know anyone who does, please let IOMG know!

The presentation was opened by Rowany Lady Captain, Claire Humphreys- Jones, who thanked the assembled players for taking part in such blustery conditions, though assured them of excellent conditions for Rowany’s forthcoming Golf Week! IOMG President Niall Keenan presented the prize winners after welcoming the players, though being careful not to say too much in case he fell foul of any discriminatory legislation!

Results are listed below and delighted winners Ana Dawson and Valerie Creane reported how well the course looked and thanking the Club staff as well as their playing partners.

1st place Ana Dawson & Valerie Creane - 65 nett

2nd Elaine Heselton & Sue Williams- 71.6 nett

3rd Sandie Gibson & Sarah Brindle 72.4 nett

4th Cath Preston & Anne Gundry- 72.6 nett
