WELCOME TO ISLE OF MAN GOLF
The 4th round of the Dandara Junior Order of Merit was held on Sunday at Douglas Golf Club in lovely sunshine. All though with a slightly depleted field due to summer holidays some fantastic scores we shot.
In then under 18’s 18 hole it was a Peel 1st and 2nd, with Ana Dawson’s great round and new ladies course record of 66 Gross/66 Nett took 1st place from Lea Dawson who shot 77Gross/74 Nett for 2nd
In the Under 14’s 18 hole it was Mount Murray’s Freddie Dancox with a score of 77 Gross/67 Nett who took the honours from Douglas player Ben Clarke with a 94 Gross/71 Nett.
The 9-hole competition also had some great scores, Jack Higgins from Ramsey shot 15 points, but this was not enough on the day as Kase Phinney from Mount Murray scored 20 and therefore took the 1st prize and a handicap cut
In the 6-hole competition saw more handicaps being cut, and with only 1 point separating the top 2 it was another Mount Murray player claiming top spot. With a score of 18 points Nathaniel Denton just beat Harry Higgins, from Ramsey who had to settle for 2nd on the day.
The Flag competition also was a close fought competition, but it was Theo Kiernan taking first place from Billy McMullan, both young players were awarded their 54 handicaps today also.
The last round of the Dandara Junior Order of Merit is on Sunday 2nd September at Ramsey Golf Club, please get your entries in early.
