Autumn Meeting

The 2016 Autumn Meeting will be held at Douglas on Sunday 25th Sep.

The 2015 Autumn Meeting at Rowany Sunday 27th September

A glorious day saw 43 ladies compete for the final event of the 2015 season in the Autumn Meeting at Rowany.

Battling all the odds, Ramsey's Jane Gaines overcame the death of her electric trolley on the 8th to take first prize with 39 points. By her own account, she had to ditch the battery and push it up hill and down dale with the assistance and encouragement of her playing partners before being rescued by a 'white knight' with a replacement trolley.

Jane narrowly beat Dee Lewis of KEB into second spot despite Dee's '2 for 5' eagle on the 14th which nudged her points tally up to 38.

Then it was all very closely fought for the remaining prizes with Castletown's Mary van Lier taking 3rd place followed by countbacks for 4th, 5th and 6th which went to Gail Corrin (KEB), Shirley Price (PSM) and Gaynor Lees (Castletown).

Grateful thanks go to Rowany for hosting such a well-organised event - a fitting end to our golfing season.

1st Jane Gaines 39 points

2nd Dee Lewis 38

3rd Mary van Lier 35

4th Gail Corrin 34 on countback from

5th Shirley Price 34

6th Gaynor Lees 33 on countback from Pauline Hargreaves and Mair Gardner.
